- Jump rings are used to connect findings, charms and other jewelry supplies to other jewelry components. Shop jump rings in a myriad of sizes, shapes and materials to complement your jewelry-making needs.
- Take your jump ring and two pairs of flat nose pliers.
- Use one pair of pliers to grip the jump ring on one side and use the second pair to secure the ring on the other.
- Gently twist the two halves of the jump ring so that it opens (its important not to simply pull it apart, as this will cause the jump ring to become misshapen and weak).
- Twist the two halves of the jump ring until its open just enough to allow you to attach your chosen components (again, its important not to open it more than you need to, as youll risk damaging it).
